Plinkett's Star Wars reviews are a thousand times more entertaining than the entire prequel trilogy. I'd even go so far as to say that his thorough dissection of them makes all other negative reviews redundant.

It's a list

A list of singular/uncountable nouns, though, so the verb is wrong. Consider:

There is no salt, pepper or garlic in my chili.

Did you know that there are some movies that are called "action" movies. THERE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE ROMANCE OR HUMOR. WHY THE FUCK DID YOU GO INTO THIS MOVIE EXPECTING A ROMANTIC COMEDY? WHAT THE FUCK!

Well, what about a clear lead character that we care about and who's 'fight' we are interested in? Or a villan who's motivation is clear? Or a story that makes sense or is dramatic or tense? Or acting that is somewhat believable? Or direction that isn't completely flat and uninteresting? Special-effects that don't look like bad videogame graphics?

The soundeffects and John Williams music are the only good things in this utter mess of a trilogy.

The prequels suck and who ever disagrees has no funcioning brain or taste....

"A villain who's motivation is clear?" Wow, you are an idiot. I realize that this certainly isn't the best star wars, but this is a PREQUEL,which is also part of a TRILOGY, which in case you are dumber than you sound, means that the originals are meant to be watched first. Anyone who has seen the original knows who the villain is and what his motivations are. The entire point of the trilogy is to show the events that led to the fall of the republic and jedi order, as well as the rise of the galactic empire. The fact that all characters featured in the film are extremely important to the plot prevents there from being only one "main" protagonist or antagonist. This movie is part of a trilogy that to be thought of more as a book with three chapters or a movie with three parts, to be fully appreciated.

No, you're the idiot for not realizing that he was referring to Darth Maul, who is the clear "villain" of the film an d even takes up the most space on the poster. I certainly don't remember anything about him other than the fact that he was decent with a lightsaber.

No one is denying that the prequels were made to show the fall of the Jedi order and the rise of the empire. What's missing is any effort to make this rise and fall interesting in any way.

Yes, there are many characters that serve some degree of importance - excluding the obvious one - but few of them have any defining character traits or memorable lines of dialogue. The fact that they can't even choose a central character shows laziness more than anything.

That is your opinion, in my opinion, The Phantom Menace was a great movie. The point I am trying to make is that this guy was excepting a romantic comedy from an action movie...

The prequels suck and who ever disagrees has no funcioning brain or taste.... I think it is a little extreme to say that someone with an opinion has no functioning brain BTW
