Led by Colonel Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson), the SG team explores the mysterious dimensional doorways known as Stargates, transporting themselves throughout the universe to discover new technologies and civilizations. The group also battles the evil Goa'uld Ra, a race of aliens out to dominate the universe. The team is comprised of Daniel Jackson (Micheal Shanks), Sam Carter (Amanda Tapping), and Teal'c (Christopher Judge). In season 6, Michael Shanks leaves the show, and scientist Jonas Quinn (Corin Nemec) joins the team.
