Stars in My Crown is an episodic movie about a rural Southern community in the 19th century. Though the film features a number of characters, it focuses on a preacher who moves into the city and helps solve the town's problems. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi

Beautiful, joyous religious film.
A fine example of an old-fashioned heartwarming family film.
Really nice find. Joel McCrea his usual amazing self. Plays a humble, charismatic white preacher in reconstruction rural southern town. The black actors don't act ridiculous. The Klan situation is addressed, albeit in a paternalistic, white-savior manner. But given the time, a decent step forward.
