...suffers from an egregiously low-rent vibe that effectively distances it from Paul Verhoeven's comparitively masterful 1997 effort.

If you liked the original, you’ll hate the sequel and everyone involved in the making of it.

Likely to put off fans of the original, pleasing only those who can reap high entertainment value from the bare-bones ingredients of gore, boobs, and bug-splatter.
