There's not a character, situation or line of dialogue that feels fresh or as if it came from someone's imagination or life experience instead of experience with movies.
The movie just doesn't work, though there's certainly talent on display.
The film seems unfortunately destined to be one of those not-so-great indies in the respective filmographies of its actors, reflecting a time when they were desperate to get work of any kind.
[Garrity's] story nor his etch-a-sketch, cliche-addled characters ever take flight.
