Sunshine Cleaning Reviews

if i were a cleaner, i would be very embarrassed to meet my alumnus. most of all, i wouldn't like to see n take care of the bloody shit. but she did for her family. according to a Korean proverb, the woman is weak, but the mother is strong!

Predictable and slow moving, however, it is boosted by some great performances in Adams and Blunt.

Amy is so adorable. So is Emily. But. They go up and down and then nothing happens. Just life.

The movie sometimes works. It tries to give us some message, and Adams and Blunt surely do their best. The problem about Sunshine Cleaning is that we don't know what it really is about.

"Amy Adams and Emily Blunt gave underrated performances that shamefully didn't get any award attention. Sunshine Cleaning is one of my favorite movies 09' and it was just a well-told, funny and charming underrated flick. Good movie, Arkin and Collins, Jr were great in their roles as well."

I really liked this one. The story itself was really interesting, with the whole crime scene clean up thing. However, what really drove this were the characters. They were real people, which is something I don't see all the time. They were real, flawed human beings, which is infinitely more interesting to watch than textbook, likable people. This is helped along by the acting, specifically by Amy Adams and Emily Blunt. They were fantastic. I loved the two of them together, as well as them with Alan Arkin, who played their dad. My only tiny complaint is that the resolution feels a tiny bit rushed. It works, but I wanted a little bit more. Overall though, this was a really good movie that deserved more attention than it received.

This was a really good movie. I was reminded of how good an actress Amy Adams is. And it's about forensic cleaning. Heh.

Sunshine Cleaning manages to offer laughs and life lessons without compromising a decent plot.

Average chick flick with a solid supporting cast, especially Alan Arkin, who manages to steal just about any scene he's ever been in. Hell, the man made 'Indian Summer' tolerable.

Sweet sad and quirky if you liked Little Miss Sunshine you might find this one to be up your alley as well. Emily Blunt is amazing!!

With an original story that kept me interested throughout, I would strongly recommend this movie to anyone as a change of pace from your more mainstream "blockbusters".
Adams delivers a great performance in the lead role, and it was nice to see Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe from '24') in a movie role too.
This movie recieves a solid solid 3 and a half star rating.
Sunshine Cleaning is a lesser known, yet intelligent movie featuring one of my favourite actors - Amy Adams - and solid supporting performances from Emily Blunt and Alan Arkin mainly.

not as funny as" Little Miss Sunshine". From that and the preview, I expected a lot more. Actors were all great though.

Very good movie - Amy Adams and Emily Blunt are both great in general. The one thing that sort of bothers me about it is that it is classified as a "comedy". It's not. It should at least be deemed a "Comedy/Drama" because a lot of it is just really sad and not funny. Doesn't mean it was bad though.

Although it ended abruptly, Sunshine Cleaning is a decent movie thanks to the wonderful performances by Amy and Emily.

It has great performances, some cute scenes and some touching scenes; but this film leaves many, many questions unanswered... feels incomplete.
