Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (It's a terrific movie that no one seems to remember even though a terrible sitcom that was based on it ran for nine seasons on CBS.)
The Other (1972)
Psycho II (Not in the class with the AH's original, but for a standard slasher flick it's good.)
Paperhouse (It's one of those British indies that draws you in. Pun intended.)
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (Original 1970s TV Movie)
Tomb of the Blind Dead (Spanish horror movie from the 1970s)
Deep Red (Italian suspense movie from the 1970s)
The Brood (David Cronenberg horror movie)
Jun 12 - 03:11 PM
Some Of the Harry Potter's.
And oh yeah,The Godfather.
Jun 12 - 06:00 AM
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Jun 11 - 08:16 AM
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Ang Lee's Hulk
Robin Hood (Disney's Version)
Jun 11 - 07:40 AM
And Indiana Jones 4, really didn't see the reason to hate on it so much.
Jun 10 - 04:17 PM
Ash J. Gilmore
CGI Monkey Rope Swinging
CGI Alien bullshit
Jun 10 - 04:22 PM
Diego John Tutweiller
AND A FUCKING NUCLEAR BOMB-REFRIGERATOR SCENE. DON'T FORGET THAT.
Jun 10 - 05:10 PM
That wasn't one of my problems with this because every Indy movie has unrealistic stuff in it. (Nothing gets more unrealistic than people reaching into your chest, pulling your heart out, you somehow surviving and then being lowered into hell).
Jun 10 - 05:40 PM
The Master of Movies
What about that scene in temple of doom where they jump out of the plane and survive.
Jun 10 - 05:55 PM
Well, I didn't care much for Temple of Doom either, but at least it had some mysticism about it. This time... it was just vine swinging and refrigerator surfing.
Jun 10 - 08:58 PM
Nothing in the entire Indy series is more unrealistic than the heart ripping shit it in Temple of Doom. I still liked the movie, but we have to draw the line somewhere.
Jun 10 - 09:00 PM
Yep, and that's why Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best movie ever. All it had was spectacular Nazi face-melting.
Jun 10 - 09:04 PM
That was a cool scene. But, at least it had some reason to be there. We believed that the Ark was mystical, so we bought all the shit that happened.
Jun 10 - 09:07 PM
And CGI aliens...
Jun 10 - 09:32 PM
And what? But if you see another movie with lots, and lots, and lots of CGi, you don't say anything, and the nulear explotion was better than jumping from an airplane. Indy 4 was underrated, Temple of Doom is overrated, and it is the worst of them.
Jun 11 - 07:37 AM
CGI Monkey Rope Swinging
CGI Alien bullshit
Jun 11 - 07:46 AM
It had unnecessary CGI.
Seven Psychopaths. Really loved that movie.
Jun 10 - 04:16 PM
Fuck yeah, man! It was fantastic.
It got an 88%. I don't know if I'd call that 'underrated'.
Jun 10 - 05:14 PM
It was good...why is it underrated?
Jun 10 - 05:56 PM
Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe
Put your hands up! Why? Because I have a gun. So.
Jun 10 - 05:13 PM
Fuck the cops! FUCK 'EM! No fucking cops...
Jun 10 - 09:05 PM
the lookout, brick, A.I Artificial Intelligence, what about bob, cloud atlas, kingpin.
Jun 10 - 08:03 AM
Brick is great.
Jun 10 - 08:07 AM
yes its a great movie and I have seen it several times but would still watch it again.
Jun 10 - 08:34 AM
Same here, man.
Jun 10 - 08:42 AM
I don't think Brick is underrated at all. Underseen maybe, but most people who have seen it say that it's amazing.
Jun 10 - 09:22 AM
I've noticed the same thing.
Jun 10 - 09:29 AM
Brick, AI, What About Bob, Kingpin, and Cloud Atlas were all damn good.
Jun 10 - 12:40 PM
AI was weird...it made me feel weird.
Jun 10 - 05:57 PM
The Invention of Lying
Monsters, Inc.(people liked the Toy Story series better)
The Big Lebowski (80%? Are you fucking kidding me?)
Dredd (really cool)
Seven Psychopaths (of all time)
The Guard (scratch that, The Guard is of all time)
In Bruges (might as well)
Eagle Eye (wasn't that bad, but still kinda bad)
and finally, (Please don't lynch me, it's only an opinion)
Killing Them Softly
Jun 10 - 07:10 AM
Killing Them Softly wouldn't have been so poorly received had it not had such an in your face political agenda.
Jun 10 - 07:20 AM
Exactly. And James Gandolfini's character was completely pointless.
Jun 10 - 07:23 AM
It's like they had Gandolfini purely to say they had Gandolfini.
Jun 10 - 05:59 PM
Come on...Eagle Eye took that scene from the Matrix where Morpheus calls Neo in his office and stretched it to s feature length movie.
Jun 10 - 09:23 AM
Well, I did say it was still kinda bad. 5/10.
Jun 11 - 04:28 AM
I think people just hated it because it didn't have lots of ass-kicking as they thought. But I never expected that, so I thought it played pretty well.
Jun 11 - 04:29 AM
The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons
Jun 10 - 03:39 AM
Both were good.
die hard with a vengeance
Jun 9 - 07:42 PM
Happiness of the Katakuris
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
Girls Gone Dead
Day of the Dead(Romero's)
Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance
The Good, the Bad, and the Weird
Jun 9 - 06:48 PM
The Good, the Bad, and the Weird was fucking awesome and Romero's Day of the Dead set the themes for so many zombie movies to come, including 28 days later.
Jun 9 - 06:49 PM
I think given a chance, Good, Bad and the Weird has strong mainstream appeal. It's a really fun movie. It's just the problem that it's foreign, so that limits it's chances at finding an audience.
As for Day, people always talk about Night and Dawn, but I think Day is by far the best of the three(I ignore Land, Diary, and Survival).
Jun 9 - 06:52 PM
Tony Eddard Stark
David, you forgot Big Booty Bitches Zombie Edition.
Jun 9 - 07:25 PM
Awwwww shiiiiit. You're absolutely right! Theres also Sultry Satanic Sluts, which is a classic.
Jun 9 - 07:27 PM
Speaking of sultry, has anyone seen Throw Momma from the Train? It's one of the funniest comedies I've ever seen.
Jun 10 - 01:36 AM
Are there sultry satanic sluts in it?
Jun 10 - 02:01 AM
No, but it has Mama Fratelli giving an over-the-top performance.
Jun 10 - 02:08 AM
Ang Lee's Hulk
The Human Centipede
The Midnight Meat Train
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
Robot & Frank
Not Another Teen Movie
Jun 9 - 06:41 PM
I don't understand why Hulk, Real Steel, Equilibrium, Not Another Teen Movie, and Dead Silence are overlooked yet crap like Juno and Slumdog Millionaire get high praise.
Jun 10 - 01:39 AM
I dunno man. Critics can be maroons.
Jun 10 - 04:54 PM
Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Die Hard With a Vengeance
The Invention of Lying
I probably have more... just forgetting them.
Jun 9 - 02:01 PM
independance day was good fun and star wars 3 was the best of the prequels.
Jun 10 - 05:58 PM
Star Trek the Motion Picture
The Three Stooges
Indiana Jones 4
Batman Returns (we all seem to have that one)
The World is Not Enough
Jun 9 - 09:43 AM
The Tree Stooges was awful. Vampire's Kiss was so bad it's good.
Jun 9 - 12:36 PM
Ok I understand why you wouldn't like 3 Stooges if that's not your kind of humor but why is Vampire's Kiss bad?
Jun 9 - 12:41 PM
Nicolas Cage's performance is so terrible it enters Tommy Wiseau territory.
Jun 9 - 12:43 PM
That's where we disagree. I loved watching Nic Cage go completely nuts and scream the Alphabet and cry and run down the streets announcing to the world that he is a vampire through his plastic fangs. It fit the black comedy tone of the film.
Jun 9 - 12:48 PM
Yeah, but it didn't fit the tone well. I saw Nicolas Cage do much better at going nuts in Ghost Rider 2, Bad Lieutenant, and Matchstick Men. The Wicker Man doesn't count because he's basically doing his same performance from Vampire's Kiss except more...you know what I mean.
Jun 9 - 12:51 PM
Do you see Vampire Kiss as a comedy?
Jun 9 - 01:01 PM
Cause I think it is
Yes, and it fails at doing so.
Jun 9 - 01:19 PM
You liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Respect: Lost.
Jun 9 - 01:59 PM
I liked it too, but it kneels to the first three Indy films.
Jun 9 - 02:07 PM
Hey, man don't knock my opinion. You didn't like Up but I'm not complaining.
Jun 9 - 02:23 PM
Yes... because Up is the anus of the world.
Jun 10 - 05:11 PM
Martyrs. Nuff said.
Jun 9 - 08:22 AM
Damn. I forgot about Martyrs.
Jun 9 - 08:23 AM
I also felt Transformers: Dark of the Moon was underrated.
Jun 9 - 08:06 AM
I like that one.
Jun 9 - 09:31 AM
It was better than the second movie which was crap.
It still had that Michael Bay feel to it (not a good thing), but it didn't deserve the giant shit the critics took on it. I kinda liked it. 6/10.
