How many 3D conversions does there have to be before we can all just assume a movie being released is a 3D has a 3D conversion.

Is it more expensive to film in 3d or to have it converted over? If you film in 3d can you convert back to regular film? I'm so confused...

How about a trailer? Is Man of Steel ever going to get one of those?

Helpless. Click on the "Man of Steel" page and you'll find two. You want a napkin too? Mint? Foot massage for your tired surfing?

I'm looking for a trailer, not a teaser.

If it plays before a feature (as it did before "Dark Knight Rises") then it is, by definition, a "trailer".

Dude, you're arguing semantics. Stop being a douche, you know very well what I'm referring to.

I don't really know what you mean. A 2 and a half minute trailer is a perfectly acceptable trailer, even if it is a "teaser trailer". I assume you want a trailer that lays out every plot point like Cliff Notes.

There are no rules, but in general:

Teasers are designed to tease an upcoming film months before its release without giving away any plot details or showing extensive footage. Trailers on the other hand are longer, reveal story details and show extensive footage. Teasers also precede trailers, sometimes by many months.

The 2 'trailers' you mention are in fact one video sequence, the only difference between them being the voice-over. They are one minute and 34 seconds long. In other words, short. They are the first video released of the film, and were released long before the film's theatrical release. They give away little-to-no plot detail, and show very little footage (if any, who knows if that stuff will make it into the final picture).

What I want to see is a trailer, 2 and a half minutes long, that includes plot details and footage of the characters in action (other than sitting on a step or standing in a boat). I would like to see Superman in detail, so I can get an idea about how they shot this movie and the tone they're going for.

Basically, I want what they released in the teaser, but almost twice as long, and instead of shots of the ocean or clothes blowing in the wind, we see characters interacting and maybe even Superman in action.

It should be reported when a sci-fi/action movie ISNT in 3d. Enough with the conversions though. They almost all look like crap. If you want in 3d please film it that way

This is what happens when Nolan is not helming a movie. The end product is lacking and the inferior director doesn't have the balls to stand up to the execs and say no to 3D.

I suppose anything actually filmed in 3D will just be branded as "Cameron/Pace". I'm just glad they've stopped calling pre-2007 CGI movies "3D". That got on my nerves.
