I remember hearing that he also 'filled out' Superman's tights very well too - to the point that it was almost a problem. At least that was the rumors at the time the movie came out.

You're criticizing about wooden acting and you have Tom Welling in your avatar? Interesting. And its Christopher Reeve, not Reeves. Brandon Routh had no choice but to mimic the 1970s interpretation of Clark Kent because it was a continuation of the old films, its not his fault he wasn't able to bring something new to Superman.
