darcko writes: on Jun 29 2006 06:43 PM I haven't seen Prada yet (maybe next weekend with my mom... I owe her) but I have seen Superman and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked how Singer incorporated material (music, themes,...) from the first two movies and while the running-time seems a bit long, time just seemed to fly (no pun intended) when I watched it. It also had its depressing parts, much in the vein of the last Batman film, which weren't cheesy like I thought of Spidey 1 and 2's apparently "sad" moments. The only thing that was disappointing was Luthor's master plan... Overall though, it's great to see that red cape again =) (Reply to this) |

Still, i thought it was impressive. And i'm very happy that prada is getting good reviews, it looks good. (Reply to this) |

nogard64 writes: on Jun 29 2006 10:39 PM In reply to this comment (#839282) oh yeah agreed what kinda lame master plan was that? How was that plan gonna work at all, hope I'm not spoiling anything here but all his plan was gonna do was kill billions of poeple, and not make him any money, I thought hes suppose to be like a genius of something? haha (Reply to this) |

darcko writes: on Jun 30 2006 01:31 AM **Spoiler alert** He wanted to be a maniacal Donald Trump. Since I'm guessing he didn't want to spend money buying land (he just came out of prison after all), he'd rather just create it. Then I figure that some people might be interested in buying land there and such. It makes a little sense, but still. It doesn't sound like something Lex Luthor would do. **End spoiler** To those who haven't seen it, go see Superman Returns!! (Reply to this) |

nogard64 writes: on Jun 30 2006 01:45 AM In reply to this comment (#839286) well its dumb for 1) after you kill a billion people whos gonna be left to buy your land, 2) who wants land thats just a bunch of rocky hard cliffs? 3) if superman doesn't stop him I'm pretty sure a couple nukes would, 4) he said he has alien technology to protect him? what crystals? I know I'm being nit picky but it always bothered me, for a more super duper advanced civilaztion the fortress of solitude has no doors or locks? Over all a very good film just the master plan really bugged me. And obviously i'm not the only one. (Reply to this) |

dylan21484nj writes: on Jun 30 2006 04:53 AM well hopefully they go with a new villain next time. Luthor is Superman's opposite and i know that's why it was necessary to use him for Superman's cinematic return, but he's overused. but how great would it be if Supes would go toe-to-toe with Metallo, Brainiac, or some other superpowered foe in the next film? just think of the Zod street fight from 2 done with 2006 technology and CG. how cool would an all-out Super-brawl be? okay, Supes is back, he's saving people, and so on. that's all fine and dandy, but for the next film, let's see him really kicking ass.
