Eastwood is so the man, other men turn into girls around him. Great director, good actor, and incredible ability to know what projects are correct for him to be involved. I'm glad he didn't take these roles. It would've been odd to see him snarl, "shaken, not stirred."

Clint Eastwood could have taken 007 or Superman in a fist fight, at the same time, with one hand tied behind his back. Take that Chuck Norris.

Eastwood as Superman. I'd like to see that.

Eastwood is some type of Superman. 80 years old and people are scared to mess with him.

He was too cool and rough for those roles...

As much as I love Clint Eastwood, he wouldn't have fit those roles at ALL. Thank goodness he never took them.

I love Eastwood, he's one of my all-time favorite actors and directors, but I'm glad he turned these down. They're just not his thing, like he said.

Clint is the man. Thank god he didn't take these parts but if he did...I'd be here typing thank god he did. Nearly everything he has touched over his long career is gold (on at least some level)...i'm sure the same would have been true of these franchises. But yeah...thank god he didn't.

Eh. Not the best roles for him. I wouldn't put it passed him to pull-off his own kind-of 007, though.

Clint is the man, and knows exactly what suits his strengths as an actor. Would be interesting to see him maybe take on a Bond film as a director though...

All I know is he would have made a bad-ass Batman.

at first i laughed...and then i was like "damn...he WOULD'VE!".

He used that low, breathy voice that is so prevalent nowadays (from bale's batman to gob bluth to alec baldwin in 30 rock) before ANYBODY (that i can think of).
