Movie Info

The Cruel Swamp and Swamp Diamonds were reissue titles for the steamy Roger Corman-directed melodrama Swamp Women. The title characters-Marie Windsor, Jill Jarmyn, Beverly Garland and Susan Cummings-comprise the "Nardo Gang," a vicious female crime contingent. The ladies have stolen some valuable jewels and are making their escape through the swamp. Joining them is Carole Mathews, ostensibly an escaped convict but actually an undercover cop. Male lead Touch Connors later changed his name to Mike Connors, and still later starred in Mannix. Swamp Women is tacky and tawdry, to be sure, but not without its fascinations.more

Audience Reviews for Swamp Women

A silly low budget movie from Corman, but I like Garland in this movie and I thought it was fun. Overall it's okay.

Super Reviewer

A typical Corman exploitation film (his 2nd film, in fact). Lots of legs, but terrible dialog. A team of recently escaped prison women take hostages in their search for hidden diamonds deep in the swamp.

Terrible characters, and a dull and ridiculous plot. The film is just bad, cramped, and annoying to watch.
