When a man is made a political prisoner in Hungary during the early fifties, his wife protects her ill mother in law from the shock by pretending that he is in the U.S. directing movies. A touching film with a meditative mellow feel and with revolutionary editing techniques that give it an even greater compellingly psychological depth.
