Reviews for Taking Father Home
Simply brilliant film-making for less than $5000. For anybody the least bit curious about China today and who has a taste for sophisticated comedy, this is not to be missed.
You may appreciate the ballsy critique of a nation's callous obsession with development and reconstruction.
If all the world's a stage, then resorting to just that when faced with a shoestring movie budget may be just the cure, in this delightfully heartfelt yet solemn and brutal New Market Economy China road movie to nowhere.
