Charlie Le Blanc (Burt Reynolds) has doubts so deep concerning his trophy wife's fidelity that he is ready to put a price tag on it. Charlie's health is failing and as he prepares to write his will he begins to question what his beautiful wife Lilly (Saffron Burrows) deserves. Charlie scours New Orleans for a handsome young man and finds Jimmy (Peter Facinelli) and offers him a healthy stipend to attempt to seduce Lilly. Jimmy is apprehensive about the deal until he meets the beautiful Lilly at which time he agrees to the bargain. Unexpectedly, the Lilly and Jimmy make an emotional bond and attempt to deny their physical relationship, saying that Lilly remained faithful.
