Audience Reviews for Tengoku wa matte kureru (Heaven Can Wait. Maybe)

Not the best Japanese movie I ever saw, but it wasn't a bad drama.
The story is about 3 childhood friends, a girl and two boys. When they are adults, one of the men proposes to the girl, and she accepts. Not long afterwards, he has bad accident in his van and ends up in a coma. Years go by and though the remaining pair have never forgotten him and visit the hospital frequently, they realize they love each other and get engaged.
Against all odds, the finance wakes up in the middle of them making the announcement, though he is missing part of his memory including the part about ever having been engaged.
Really quite sad and it was moving in a subtle way.
Honestly I wasn't sure if the man really forgot, or if he just pretended to so the pair could be happy. I kind of suspect that. It made the ending that much sadder.
