The first commenter above was flippant and reactionary, and had they clicked once or twice more and read/thought about things for more than a few seconds, they'd have known this was a rotten review of the Blu-ray release, not the film itself (which is also one of my favorites of all time). A shame this review shows up as a "rotten", because the reviewer is absolutely right about the movie's (considerable) qualities. He acknowledges - rightly, in my opinion - that this is Cameron's best ever movie, and that it "remains as intelligent and emotionally complex as any film of its kind [...] the reductive lens of pop culture - to say nothing of intellectual film snobs ignorant to genre pleasures - can't extinguish its mythic humanist power."
