Audience Reviews for The Champion

Chaplin short that may also serve as the prototype for the great choreographic boxing match in "City Lights". Lots of punches thrown here, with Leo White's scheming gambler taking the worst of it(aside from the eponymous character of Bud Jamison, of course).

Fun watching them throw punches! I also muted the volume and set the scenes to whatever Francis was listening to. The music: Fleetwood Mac's "I Know I'm Not Wrong", Camera Obscura's "If Looks Could Kill", The Kink's "Waterloo Sunset", Korgis' "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime." Really. I think any music would've sufficed, you just have to make the music relate to the movie scene. Original scores are good, but this makes it fun :)
