Movie Info

This cheap independent film was heralded as being "torn from today's headlines." A pyromaniac is on the loose in a small town. Several good-looking young people fall under suspicion. Is it the obvious "punk" type, or the clean-cut kid? The Flaming Urge is one of the few films made by Harold Lloyd Jr., whose showbiz career never did get off the ground, despite extensive help and support from his famous dad. Lloyd's costar is Cathy Downs, who'd seen better days cinematically.

Audience Reviews for The Flaming Urge

This is an old Black & White movie that had Herbert Rawlinson in it, He was the father of Superman in the old Black and White TV series, the very reason I watched it. Herbert Rawlinson played in over 392 movies from 1911 to 1954. In this movie he played Herb the fire chief. The movie itself is about a Young man who runs after fire trucks to see the fire, He is suspected in setting them. Its a neat little short film that is putout by Alpha Video. I have to give it 4 stars, lots of neat fire fighting scenes in it from back in the Day. 4 Stars
