These guys must have some sick, twisted obsession with Johnny Depp. He's a good actor, but his movies this year are not good. Why are Alice in Wonderland and The Tourist nominated? They're horrible! The Tourist isn't even a Musical or Comedy!
...And where the heck is Scott Pilgrim vs. The World!!!!

Speaking of which there better be a comedy tribute to Leslie Nielsen, though with these noms he may prefer to be left out.

lol, agreed. Leslie Nielsen could have made 5 comedies in one day that would be better than the ones nominated....

The drama categories are very interesting and strong ones, however I think that 127 Hours deserves more praise than The Fighter in the categories of Motion Picture, Actor and Director. As for the Comedy categories, over half of the ones nominated for Best Motion Picture are rotten! They could change Alice in Wonderland for Toy Story 3, Burlesque for Greenberg and The Tourist for... I don't know, something more decent? This year's nominations are really questionable, though it is nice to see The Walking Dead nominated in the TV department

And Toy Story 2 and Beauty and the Beast were nominated and won in their years before The Animation category was created.

Man the comedy/musical category is a load BS! (Except for The Kids Are All Right)

Inception all the way for every nomination!

As terrible as the Comedy/Musical categories are (and they are absolutely atrocious), I feel like they nailed the Drama categories. I haven't seen the King's Speech and I'm going to check out The Fighter this weekend, but from what I've read they should be well deserved placements. Also, as much as everyone thinks that Leo deserves a nod, Inception was a movie that was carried by it's special effects, direction, and ensemble of performances. All the actors in the the best Actor: Drama category carry their movies on their shoulders and do so with significantly more insight into the human condition. I'm not saying Inception wasn't great, but it was a film that did not rely on DeCaprio to make it a great film.

Did they even watch The Tourist? Did they just run out of time deciding who gets nominated and saw an ad for it and put it in? I mean, come on people, let's try and have some credibility here.

The Drama category is pretty strong though.
