The Sorority Wars Reviews
September 22, 2014
It was entertaining. But overall i'm disappointed with the movie. From a scale of 1-10 I'll rate the casting to a 9. It could have been a big hit but it has a poor storyline. A lot of things should have been highlighted like the challenges katie parker and his love interest should have, a clear crazy competition between her best friend, harder challenges before they steal the cup and the true spirit of kappa winning over delta. This was worst than a child's storybook. It's like everything is all easy to the main character. One point of good movies is making the audience feel the right emotion. I just felt i'm watching a reenactment.

Predictable, but that's not always a bad thing. I don't watch movies like this to be shocked; I watch them to be entertained. The acting here was solid, and it's always nice to hear Lucy Hale sing.

I actually thought this movie was alright. I didn't expect this movie to be good either because I was just utterly annoyed with Lucy Hale's role from the Pretty Little Liars, but I really liked her role in this movie. I've never joined the Sorority Girls so I don't know what it feels like, but I liked the part that the main girl chose to join what she feels for and wants to stand for. This movie is like inspirational as in advice to every students that were bullied in school. The idea of not revenging to do stupid stuff of what a bully would do, but do something better like for instance winning the competition, work hard! I thought this movie was giving out messages, that there will always be hope if you just work hard for what you stand for and believe that things will get better by choosing the right friends.

Very cute family friendly movie

I've learned a lot from sorority wars:
1: Never stick up for your daughter when your friends blatantly rip on her.
2: If your mother lies about something, and you use that lie to answer a question thinking it's the truth, then it's obviously your fault and not hers.
3: Volunteering as a house woman for a sorority is the most important and time consuming non-paid job on the planet.
4: Moms care more about their own personal gain rather then what best helps their daughters.
5: The only way you can get into a sorority is to be hot.
6: All guys are dicks!
7: Having signs all around campus with pictures saying you have herpes, is not against school rules.
8: If you are doing something against school rules, the best way to avoid discovery is to shout about it in the middle of the yard in front of school officials.
9: Always put your sorority duties before your friends and family.
10: You will look exactly the same in 30 years as you did in the sorority.
11: There is nothing more important then getting revenge.
As a whole the movie isn't badly done, but it's the terrible characters and direction that make this movie almost unbearable. The mother character alone brings this movie down. I've never seen, or heard of, a mom putting her useless alumni sorority duties over the feelings and needs of her entire family for personal gain in the most obvious and obscure manner.

This is a very cute movie about girls struggling to live up to their mother's expectations. The lesson to learn - stand up and be your own person, not even your family knows what is best for you.

typical teenage movie, so i loved it

This movie was a lot better than I expected. Even though I seriously felt like thumping the parents. The parents were just plain mean. Why would a stupid sorority mean so much to them? Why is it so important that their children follow their footsteps? Why can't their children just live as they want to live?
I wasn't really a fan of the whole storyline but I still found the movie entertaining and that was enough to make me enjoy it.

School is not about what house you are in or sorority or sisterhood. It's how you enjoy while you are in school and what you learn from it. It's a nice film.

Average flick that could have used some more work in the characters and script department, while Lucy Hale's character was rather enjoyable but all the moms seemed complete wackos.
