...a worthy experiment that might enchant younger viewers but could bore older ones.
For one who seemed bewildered, there appears to be minute detail about the movie in the full review. "Who is this movie for" asks the reviewer? Anyone who enjoys a finely crafted, straightforward action story which a belch need not destroy nor a death scene detract (it is a detective story for goodness sake!) If the action leaves the reviewer squeamish then "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" is always available for rent at the nearest Video store (and with good reason).

If the older ones are fans of the comics or the cartoons, then it seems unlikely they will be bored. And it is my personal opinion that Tintin was never truly meant for children. The story lines are too complex, the material too dense, and the content too dark (at least in the original comics).

This is still a cartoon. "bore older viewers"?? no duh.
I guess Muppets, Cars II, etc is aimed at 40 and over...?

Quote: "I resolved that Steven Spielberg and his co-producer Peter Jackson were targeting youngsters but that leaves the rest of us out in the cold. And this is especially true if you have never previously become acquainted with the source material."
Trust me, if you have any understanding and appreciation of the original material, you will not be any warmer except if you are drenched in your own vomit...
