Leaping back onto the screen with a new cast, crew, costume and a whole new array of daddy issues, The Amazing Spider-Man reboots the top grossing Marvel franchise to altogether satisfying results.
DON'T GO SEE SONY'S SPIDERMAN MOVIE IF YOU WANT TO SEE SPIDEY IN AVENGERS!!! Sony owns the "movie rights" to Spiderman and ONLY if the movie fails would sell the rights back to Marvel Films (Disney Division) allowing Spidey to be in Avengers. Ask yourself if you'd rather see Spidey bitten by a Spider again or see him team up with Thor, Hulk, and Cap? It's time for Marvel to get an Oscar nomination! I'm really hoping this will be Marvel's version of the Dark Knight franchise. As GREAT as the Avenger's was, I wanted it to be more serious than funny. Hopefully Spidey will bring some 'serious' justice! I want people to feel emotionally involved with this story. By the way, Emma Stone is quite hot as a blonde! Definitely better than Kirsten Dunst as MJ, but Bryce Howard Dallas was pretty damn hot as Gwen as well! Marc Webb is an awesome choice as director! I loved '(500) Days of Summer'! Can wait for Spidey!
I can't see your hopes being contended. The film obviously aims for fun. Agree about Avengers, it was great entertainment and personally I think the decision to go down that road was a winner. A bunch of superheroes dressed up in colourful costumes with Nietzsche-esque dialogs would look just silly.
Never look at the general public for a review of any movie since they are full of idiots. This movie will be compared against the 2002 movie like it or not. The studio put themselves in that postion when they decided to reboot the series 10 years after the original came out. Im a huge raimi fan and a huge fan of the first two movies so im definitely trying to keep an open mind about this flick.
There is no bandwagon. Just people relieved that it MIGHT be a good movie like they wanted it to be and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever.
