A mostly slick, entertaining and emotionally involving recombination of fresh and familiar elements.
Awesome,so is it 4/5 then?

So relieved to see the positive feedback that this movie is receiving so early on. I'm stoked.
Jun 21 - 04:03 PM
At worst this movie would of been in the 70 percent range. Wasnt spiderman 3, the trainwreck that it was, in the 70 percent range.
Jun 21 - 05:22 PM
No, not quite, "Spide-Man 3" is around 62% i believe, not a horrible score but not very good either.
Jun 21 - 06:48 PM
This is great! I'm definitely seeing this!
Jun 21 - 06:30 PM
91% because of this man. Im pretty sure it wont stay but ihope in a good way..
Jun 21 - 11:27 PM
91% looks great...one bad thing is that one rotten review right now and it will drop to 83%...
Jun 22 - 05:06 AM
I'm not seeing such "glowing" or "showering" reviews as the Avengers early on. Neither have there been too many comparisons of Rami's version and Webb's. I'm thinking around 85%.
Jun 22 - 06:53 AM
I like how good the initial reception for this is.
Marvel's characters continue their winning streak in the box office!
Shame that this is unlikely to tie-in the "The Avengers" unless Sony and Marvel Studios decide to work together on it. I know a lot of fans want this to happen.
Jun 22 - 07:01 AM
There are still More reviews to come in and all of them are fresh so it's moving up to a 95%. Lol haters are taking the reviews as bad right now and it's funny haha. They're twisting the critics words and saying the reviews are " mixed" when it's actually clearly positive.
Jun 22 - 12:35 PM
You really need about 50 reviews to get a sense of how this movie will be received. Im not a big fan of how a few things are being portrayed in the movie and some stuff in the trailers by i like webb as a director and the early reviews are promising.
Jun 22 - 05:24 PM
Where are you seeing these reviews.
Jun 25 - 12:21 PM
good grief. It is just early review. 50 more critics will bring this another superhero crap down.
Jun 23 - 07:52 AM
Correction. You haven't seen it so you don't know it's supehero crap and you don't know if it will bring it down. Mostly everyone who has seen it has reacted positive so far so they are the only valid opinions. So stop pretending to be psychic.
Jun 23 - 09:29 AM
Maybe he's pretending to be psycho...You didn't consider that have you?
Jun 23 - 01:56 PM
It did cross my mind. ;)
Jun 23 - 03:03 PM
He's doing a bad job pretending to be Norman Bates then. ;)
Jun 23 - 03:06 PM
Get a life. Some people like me hate superhero movies. It has no real plot and chiched characters.
Jun 24 - 09:18 PM
Well The Dark Knight, Batman Begins and according to the reviewers TASM...there's more plot in those movies than in 90% of no superhero movies :P
Jun 25 - 03:13 AM
Oh and your statement is just another proof that you're deranged...If you hate SH movies so much then don't go to SH movies reviews or threads to annoy everyone...go and see one of those movies you like or just GET A LIFE!!!
Jun 25 - 03:19 AM
In Your Dreams
Agreed, fanboys jumping on the pre-show hype, nothing new to see here. A few more negative reviews will soon put them in their place, however.
Jun 25 - 03:20 AM
I AM SO EXCITED AHHHH
Jun 23 - 01:22 PM
I find it funny that all that are predicting this score will fail due to their hate of the movie are rotten movie lovers. lol
Jun 25 - 06:25 AM
"Given that the film was shot in 3D, it seems appropriate that the prop connecting teen Peter (Brit thesp Garfield) to his dead father, scientist Richard (Campbell Scott), is a pair of glasses. The specs are not only a visual reminder of the film's underlying father-son theme but also drive home the point that Peter, a brilliant student who's occasionally awkward and overly gleeful, is a nerd (whose interest in science turns out to be a huge plus). Indeed, high school, specifically the life lessons learned there, figures heavily in the pic, which returns to campus several times, including for a key battle sequence."
What? The glasses connect him to his father and it somehow connects to the fact that the film is in 3D?...
Jun 26 - 10:33 AM
It may just be a convenient coincidence. The father-son connection is probably just as clear in the 2D showings.
