What's most amazing in The Amazing Spider-Man turns out to be not the shared sensations of blockbuster wow! the picture elicits, but rather the shared satisfactions of intimate awww.

Should the score go up? Or has it already done that?
Jun 28 - 05:29 PM
It has. To a 77% now.
Jun 28 - 05:32 PM
I'm not even THAT worried over it, I have enjoyed films ranked WAY lower than 70%'s,not saying they were great films but still.
Jun 28 - 06:21 PM
Hey 70%s not that bad you know
Jun 28 - 06:24 PM
Right, but I mean I feel these critics miss on things like an all-out action film and SOME comedy every once in a while, yeah 70 is cool, I have liked things much much worse.
Jun 28 - 06:27 PM
VENOM for the sequel! Anyway, this film probably won't score higher than Raimi's Spiderman.
Jun 28 - 07:54 PM
I have to agree with Travis here, Raimi's Spidermen settled with an 89% and an average rating of 7.6,this one looks like it will have worse reviews.
Jun 29 - 01:02 AM
I'm okay with that, it's a reboot, the Raimi's 2002 film was the first Spider-man movie and it's well made.
We need to see how the sequel will do.

DON'T GO SEE SONY'S SPIDERMAN MOVIE IF YOU WANT TO SEE SPIDEY IN AVENGERS!!! Sony owns the "movie rights" to Spiderman and ONLY if the movie fails would sell the rights back to Marvel Films (Disney Division) allowing Spidey to be in Avengers. Ask yourself if you'd rather see Spidey bitten by a Spider again or see him team up with Thor, Hulk, and Cap? Please spread this message and make it viral so people are informed and will know to stay away. Please join the crusade.

You're right about the first movie but the series is. A different story. People who give it a bad review just don't like how it's a orgin. Raimi made good movies but when it comes down to this movies sequel? That's when we will see fairly who made the better film and who gets the best reviews.
Jun 29 - 12:52 PM
The sequel to this film is going to be compared to Spider-Man 2 of course. Spider-Man 2 scored a 93%, which is very good and will be very difficult to beat. The only shot this franchise has is with the third installment beating out Spider-Man 3, which shouldn't be difficult to do.
Jun 29 - 04:29 PM
Not exactly the second film will not be orgin and if this film is similar to the sequel we will get than(excluding the orgin) than I think it could beat out SM2.

What blockbuster sensation are you talking about?
The Sony marketing dept massive campaign trying to sell this average tv quality movie?
Because that's what this reboot is all about. Sony managers didn't even spend the $85million budget they promised when they announced the reboot.
Cinematography, choreography, action scenes, CGI are all subpar. Most tv shows nowadays feature much higher quality overall, just look at Game Of Thrones or Teen Wolf.
This reboot is not worth paying for.
It's a shame that these greedy Sony managers thanks to marketing can manage getting away with it.
The awful Green Lantern was better than this reboot. And it tells everything.
