Get off the crack, it is clearly you were watching the wrong movie. This is the worst Spider-man movie to date. They have not made a decent spider-man at all not even in the 2000s and not this week.

No, Joanne-youre just a silly girl. Spider 3 had some heart and decent acting-this one was BAD all around-terrible cast (Garfield is almost 30 and looks it! Emma as a smart girl? what???)- and teh script was awful-bad lines, no resonance, no heart at all-Martin sheen could barely talk through thsoe dentures and he was clearly 30 years older than Fields!

There was always something about Maguire's performance that was bugged me, it seemed too forced. And I love Spiderman 2. But Garfield seemed more in tune with that geeky, awkward, slightly cocky side of a teenager. It felt genuine and his emotion was real.

I think they botched the character when they tried to fix it. I can see what they were trying, a fun and witty hero, but they get a low mix of all of it.

As an awkward, shy as hell kid, Garfield had me fooled. That probably doesn't get any credibility, but the mannerism, and the timing of his jokes were well in line.
