He should fit right into the new 'dark' feel they are obviously going for. These movies aren't as 'fun' as the Raimi films, but there is nothing really wrong with that. This guy proved in Chronicle he can be quite the emotive whiner. For some reason, I see that fitting in quite nicely with this new franchise.

Yeah I thought Fantastic was leaps and bounds better than Amazing Spiderman and Dehaan is one of the reasons. He could be a fantastic Harry Osbourn, or the sequel could be written like the first amazing spiderman and he could be a toss away cookie cutter character with ridiculous motivations.
