Jeremy Renner takes over the franchise and lends his character a menacing charm.
An ego maniacal writer who wants to be a director. Lack of originality and action sequence plagiarized from previous Bourne movies. Add to it stupidity of hysterical Rachel Weisz as opposed to calm, composed and thoughtful use of characters in previous Bourne movies with whom you could empathize. Jeremy Renner is good but this is no Bourne more like MI Tom Cruise. Went and watch it because of biased review of David Stratton, who dislikes Paul Greengrass on "At the Movies". The only thing which gets lower score than this squalid practice in self worship by Gilroy is the abysmal quality of review provided by David who lets his personal biased and prejudice comes in way and led to me wasting my money. How can a critic ignore the glaring, blatant and may I say bland plagiarizing of previous movies action scene roof top from ultimatum the car chase from supremacy. The hand held camera might be new and gives headache to your aging eyes but to most there was originality, grittiness and sense that gives viewers a feeling that they are embedded into the scene. Whilst here you are distant, bemused and sometime laughing at the plot holes, superficial nature of the plot and please it would have been a great improvement if bullet would have stopped the hysterical and whimsical theatrics of Rachel Weisz. I have disagreed with David before but here the review seems prejudicial, biased and whimsical.
