igiveup2345 writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:40 AM Again, with the people that don't know Batman. The movie is serious because the comic was serious. Batman is a serious figure. (Reply to this) |

AgentONeal writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:41 AM I don't even get what you're trying to say. From your review, this is what I hear: "Everyone is saying this movie is great, well, I'm not like everyone else! Wow this movie is awful! Lalalala. See!" (Reply to this) |

OutlawXanadu writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:43 AM I don't have a problem with negative reviews. I have a problem with negative reviews that base their reasoning on stupid, stupid assertions. Saying that TDK isn't good because it isn't "fun" enough and because it tries to be serious is as dumb a statement as a critic could make. If the movie is too fun, then it needs to be more serious. If the movie isn't fun enough, then it's "in love with itself". Come the **** on. (Reply to this) |

predemption writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:45 AM you just said that the reason this movie was bad is because it is trying to be deeper than most other comic book movies. Other critics say that this is the movies greatest achievement not its shortcoming. Why is it a crime for a movie to be deep rather than just mind numbing action? Maybe you just couldnt comprehend the complexity and seriousness that this movie brought to the table. (Reply to this) |

evanset6 writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:47 AM Surprise surprise... another critic stuck in the long expired notion that comic books and comic book based movies all should be written and made for kids. Dumbass. (Reply to this) |

Shadowflare writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:47 AM I read this review, and I already know without seeing the movie that I won't possibly come to his conclusions about the movie being too serious or 'in love with itself'. Batman is a dark storyline. From his description, it's true to the source material. Therefore I don't see his criticisms as being valid. (Reply to this) |

BobbyJohn writes: on Jul 14 2008 11:47 AM We all knew this was going to happen. Not everyone can be the same and like the same thing. Come on, we sound like a bunch of Nazis. So let's all do the adult thing and....tattoo a swastika on his head and KKK across his chest and through him in the middle of Harlem. (Reply to this) |
