Fast & Furious 6
The Hangover Part III
Inside Llewyn Davis
This movie is grim and jammed together. The narrative isn't shaped coherently to bring out contrasts and build toward a satisfying climax. The Dark Knight is constant climax; it's always in a frenzy, and it goes on forever.
Oh boy! *grabs popcorn*

Yup, this guy just is not a fan of comic movies at all clearly. Oh well Im am getting more pumped for TDK every day that goes by.
Jul 14 - 10:11 AM
A climax that goes on forever? Yes please.
Jul 14 - 10:12 AM
Well, either way, he ruined a perfect rating for The Dark Knight. Perhaps he didn't see the final edited version of the movie, though I highly doubt it.
This actually makes me more pumped for it.
No matter what you say, if you have a rotten sign next to your review, you are screwed.
But really people, I get what he's saying, don't rip on him.

Ooooooh, David, David. You're asking for a serious beating, my friend. If you even read this.
You very well may be the only bad review on here. Prepare for some bashing.

Jul 14 - 05:48 PM
You may not be the biggest fan of comic book movies but you at least need to give credit where credit is deserved.
Jul 14 - 10:22 AM
Now I'm even more excited for the movie.

I just knew this guy would thrash the film. But, to be honest, where is Pauline Kael where you need one? I mean, the chick was a pedantic, you know, but this guy... this guy represents everything I hate about critics. If I read "The New Yorker" is because I want a detailed, expert take on a film, and not contradictory superficial opinions. For example: this guy says that "Warner Bros. has continued to drain the poetry, fantasy, and comedy out of Tim Burton%u2019s original conception for %u201CBatman%u201D (1989), completing the job of coarsening the material into hyperviolent summer action spectacle". Well, first: Burton's "Batman" shouldn't be "canon" for anyone who knows what the history of the character has been in the last 70 years. Second: I bet this guy thrashed on Batman89, as everyone else did. Another example: "%u201CBatman Begins%u201D was grim and methodical". What? I thought that Nolan, by shooting this film, was "making the same fakery as everybody else". So you liked BB, then? It doesn't seem so, reading your review! Conclusions: he'll probably say in a few years time, when the third instalment is released, that this was a great film, but the new one is bull****. Wait and see.

Haha, his review is actually well-worded and thought out... But I guess most of you are rabid fanboys, so instead of reading it as a piece of criticism (he is, after all, a critic), you foam at the mouth and resort to jumping in front of a bullet aimed at a movie you haven't even seen yet. You'll go anyways, so why flip out when one guys gives his opinion on the film? Just because? If so, that's a pretty lame reason
i_b_ray, these others give bad names to the "Fanboys" out there. Or am I a bad fan for NOT ripping into this review? Hmm
