I assume you are referring to the review ? What is the point of a movie review site if you are only allowed to like what the majority likes ? Many people liked the movie, many others didn't. And that is pretty much the way it is with almost everything. It is also called freedom of opinion, one of our basic rights.

The fact that he's against it for being so popular isn't even the worst thing about his comment. but rather how unspecific and lazy it is.

Flawed - Basically describes every movie ever made. What film is considered perfect to every single person who ever sees it?

Overrated - A slightly more valid reason to dislike a film than it simply being flawed, but still not enough to give it a rotten rating.

Give me one good reason why it is overrated? Acting, storyline(and yes, there's some narrowminded people who will actually use the fact that its story is not possible, but the fact remains that this storyline is even good when compared to any price- (forget oscars)winning script seen in film. The reason why everyone likes this movie is exactly the fact that all of the above and more is WAY above average. I would like you to rewatch the movie without being dubious about the 'superhero' vibe. It's NOT just a good movie because it grossed well....Get your facts straight.

Obviously all of the Transformers films are shit, and The Dark Knight is good. However, I do have to say it is a little over rated. Ledger's performance was great, but everyone did a decent job in the film too! And so what if you didn't like the cast? Christopher Nolan's directing was artistically stunning and carried me (NOT the film) through the storyline. If there's any weakness about "Dark Knight," it's a superhero film and that leads to people underestimating it...a little like how Ledger's Joker underestimated the people of Gothom.

No offense, but I find that assertion horribly unsupported. Subjectively, I can't convince to like Ledger's performance or the film.

However, I hope you being the "outsider" and not liking the film doesn't make you think of yourself as some intellectual rebel. When a film is liked by both the majority as well as the critics, it seems to point to a consensus by both the laymen and academic.

Also, you speaking of the supremacy of Iron Man is what throws your entire assertion into disrepute. Iron Man was nothing but a product-placing mockery in which Downey simply played his typical typecast: Hey I am the arrogant cynic, with witty one liners! How contrived.

I would be interested in what made his character so "cheesy" (a very powerful descriptive explanation)and how the Iron Man franchise is so authentic.

Lets say hypothetically that we take out Health Ledger from the film??? What is left? I agree Christian Bale's voice as the bat was a little tweaked, but lets put you in a mask and tell you to make emotions when the viewer can't see three quarters of your face. Without the mask i thought he did kickass. And i don't think you're giving Aaron Eckhart enough credit. He's nowhere close to being a B-actor. Yes compared to Ledger's performance it's kind of hard to shine but there's no doubt in my mind he will always be two-face.

That is the most mindless logic I've ever heard. Not only would the movie still be amazing with some other vision, but Nolan took the character from the fiction and turned it into the new joker. Sure Heath was amazing but you're suggesting a movie will be worse without its main villain? Especially an inspired creation with amazing writing and top notch acting?
