Exxxxxtremely OVERRATED!!!! Heath Ledger's performance made this movie. Without him this movie would have been complete failure. And who said Christian Bale would be a good Batman?.. cuz they should be shot. He may play a good Bruce Wayne but his Batman performance stunk up the place.

I don't know. The Dark Knight changed my view on comic book movies forever. Before it, most comic book movies, even the dark ones, came off as cheesy to me and I scrapped the genre for years. But then Chris Nolan came along and made a knock-out masterpiece, that's right, masterpiece. You can call it all you want, but a comic book movie that embraced the ideas and motivations behind both the good and evil along with a fantastic moral character study filled with chaos and terror deserves nothing less. The Dark Knight took a genre that was until recently was just for entertainment and made it so much more, sort of in the same way The Godfather changed ganster films. (But the Godfather is in a totally different league.)

It's a classic and Ledger's performance just added to the film. Now all comic book movies of the future will look up to The Dark Knight as a prime example of how a comic book movie should be made.

Oh and about the Batman voice, thats just his character. In the same way the Don has his strange voice from the Godfather.

Geeze people, can't you calm down? Sure this is an absolute fantastic movie but you act like it's the greatest movie of all time (which it isn't). Yeah the guy's an idiot but someone was bound to give this movie a bad rating and you know it. It's not that perfect of a film anyway (no I don't hate this movie). Can't we all just get along?

"Overrated" is a silly word to use. I'm also in the group of people that don't like this film quite as much as the majority (not even my favorite comic film), but that's based on my own individual opinion, not in comparison to the rest of the world. Still, folks, relax, it's just a movie.

ok, you idiots that keep arguing on the minority side that the dark knight is overrated are obviously high.....if you love good movies, then you can feel the intensity of the dark knight from the moment it starts til the moment the credits roll....sure, every1 has their own opinion, but common facts and evidence shows that this movie is a classic and nearly every1 who's seen it loved it.....260 fresh and only 18 rotten?...dont know what those 18 critics have taste for but it must not be good.....and 96% of people liked it? and over a million voted?....obviously this movie sits well with the world...so basically those select few who dont like it are a cancer and pretty much suffering from something......also, really hate you morons who keep saying that there are tons of better movies than this....there can be a couple...which i cant really think of any now, but not many....and i hate more than all who say, there are better films like no country for old men and there will be blood...please cut the $h!t...just because the academy says its flawless doesn't mean its flat out the best thing ever....movies are made to be enjoyed, who cares what the academy thinks....and you guys who think those two films override the dark knight agree with the academy just because they have implanted in your mind that because they picked those films that those movies are the best and make you think that you're an intellectual just for liking them....no country for old men was OK....there will be blood sucked and was a boring piece of trash...i dont care what you think or feel but there will be blood is on the same pedistool as sex and the city when it stands next to The Dark Knight

You're sort of contradicting yourself there. You say that people can have their opinions and then go on to say that people that disagree with you are "a cancer"? I honestly like No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood more than Dark Knight, not because the academy said so, but because that's what I genuinely think. A majority liking something doesn't make something any more (or less) true. And again, why do you hate people that think there are many better films out there? I'm in that group and it's my bloody opinion, don't let that have any effect on you.

People just have to come to realize the fact that critics like these are here to troll or that they are pathetic and disgusting people like feces. You see his profile picture? Yeah, it's self explanatory. Absolutely no idea what a "good movie" is. The only thing flawed was that his father probably didn't use a condom. Oops, did that slip out? He calls himself a 21 year old critic who works at a Toronto Magazine. Sheesh he couldn't even start out his biography with proper capitalization. Adam I agree with you, I can't believe they're paying you for it. *Crackhead, you don't even deserve a dime*

The Dark Knight in my opinion is one of the best action movies ever made. Heath Ledger's role as the joker was nothing short of remarkable acting and Christian Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne was excellent as well.

Hmm... you seem to have no evidence whatsoever to support your lame critic, but no matter. I figured you're just a dumb-ass anyways.
