Sounds a lot like Eddie Brock in Spiderman, lets hope Nolan gives him the treatment Brock/Venom never got.

Interesting... but I'm really starting to worry about all these villains entangled into this plot. One of these guys is bound to get the short-stick; and if this Hall rumor is true, I wouldn't be surprised if it was him.

ive tried to recap all the villains in the movie without being spoilerish, but i cant. i wouldnt be worried about overstuffing the movie with villians. begins had two major villains (scarecrow and ras) and was just fine. harvey dent probably wont be two face in this movie, they are saving him until the third one im sure. so that leaves the joker as a major villain for all of the movie. im not counting eric roberts or gamble or whoever as a major villain.

the real problem is that they have to stop spoiling us with all these spoilers. i dont have the will power to not click on them.

I don't have the will power either so I've read the spoiler. Without spoiling anything much, the character is described as an antagonist as opposed to a villain in the truest sense of the word.

I'm sure the movie will be fine. A villain doesn't have to be fully fleshed out to be in the movie. The only people who care are the fans of the comics. No one else gives a rip that we might not see ______ villain for a limited amount of time. I mean, Scarecrow got the Venom treatment in Begins, and people were fine with that. I bet he had the exact same amount of screen time as Eddie Brock, and Venom had more screentime than the actual Scarecrow. People will be fine with it, I'm sure.

Phew. man. My precious Riddler remains untouched.

I agree with Merlin. Look at the Spider-Man series. Other than GG, the villains pretty much suck for being "over explained". I'd take Nolan's scarecrow or ras over raimi's "i will not die a monster" ock or his "i'm not a bad person" sandman any day of the week.

I accidentally started reading this spoiler yesterday but stopped before I got too far (hopefully). It's getting really difficult to read about this movie without seeing spoilers. Can we please respect the filmmakers a bit more and let them tell a good story?

That's too bad, that would have lent a lot of weight to the movie that will otherwise, probably, be lacking.

i'd rather have fresh guys do a COMPLETELY different thing with both characters. its not going to be a dark, SOMEWHAT realistic, movie like Begins and Dark Knight. its going to be a comic cornfest...like Fantastic Four. having Bale in the JL movie would have only worked if they had an Oceans 11 type of stellar cast...and i don't think that was going to happen. Bale's too good to be tied to that project...
