Another New Shot of Heath Ledger as The Joker?
Empire Online says "He is coming..."
by Jeff Giles | November 27, 2007

Is there such a thing as too much leadup to a film's debut?

Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan had better hope not, because no sooner have we finished discussing the new The Dark Knight viral sites than it's time to report on Empire Online's slow unveiling of what appears to be a new picture of Heath Ledger as the Joker.

According to ComingSoon, the image might be on cover of an upcoming issue of Empire. Keep an eye on it at the link below!

For some reason, his clothing reminds me of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.

...Very creepy indeed.

Who's that chained up behind him? Could it be Gordon? A 'Killing Joke' reference?

I love this but I hate waiting. I want to see it now...I guess that is what they are hoping for. I'm still wondering if they will show a Two-Face pic.

That is an excellent picture. The more I see of Ledger's Joker, the less I'm worried about his portrayal of the character.

i love the marketing for TDK and i know that eventually we were going to see a full page joker in all his glory... but after the theatrical trailer comes out, i dont want to see any more revealing pics. i have no will power and cannot resist looking at spoilers and pics... they shouldnt show two face at all. they got to retain some mystery...

ledger looks great

www.superherohype.com has the picture as well. I like it but I want to see the actions of the Joker, not just pictures. He looks the part, now I want to see him act the part.

Ain't It Cool also has the Empire cover with Heath's Joker. i love how they're making him more of a twisted, creepy clown instead of Jack Nicholson's over-the-top cartoony Joker. not that Jack's Joker was bad, far from it. but Nolan & Co. really needed to go another direction to distinguish this new Joker from Jack's version. and so far, so good. only a little more than six months to go...

u know what i like bout this.? is that there not hyping it up 3 years befre it comes out like sp3, i think this is a genious way of doing the advertising because its different then just trailers and crap, they actually put in a lot of work into making all these different sites
