Little too much hype, guys. You had us at 'Dark Knight.' Don't over-sell it. Especially by having Bale and Ledger to friggin' disco poses.

These pics look more like they were screwing around on the set, then actual production shots. They are the type of pictures no one ever sees, because someone along the line has enough sense to look at them, realize how crappy they are, and burn them. And I agree Ash, the Bat suit was fine in the last movie. This one reminds me of that silver/black one they did in those 'other' Batman movies.

I can appreciate the suite being designed to armor our hero against bullets and such, but does it have to be so elaborate? Batman looks the coolest at his most minimalistic. He's not a freakin' borg!

I agree with several things said here, first these are most likely "raw" images that can easily be applied to various products/posters. They would do a healthy amount of photoshopping and stylized lighting to these in the computer so it helps to have a well lit starting point.

Second, I agree on Batman looking his best in the most minimal suit possible, like the Jim Lee's Hush suit. Although impractical for a movie where he's constantly being shot at, it would be cool.

Hahahaha!!! If only it could be just a little more lame. I really hope the film is filmed in very, very, very dim lighting so that I don't have to look at that ridiculous bat suit. Honestly, I hope this film bombs. I hope it bombs so badly that it makes Batman and Robin worthy of being called a masterpiece of cinema. Why? Because I am so fed up with reading about this friggin' movie. Ladies, Gentlemen, this is beyond over-hype. This is Ludicrous speed. Holy balls they've gone to....shut up this movie sucks!!! Hollywood should be renamed after my ex-girlfriend...she is a b*tch of unworldly proportions that is determined to destroy the souls of men and suck the life from all that is good. God, I hope this movie blows!! Of course I am still going to see it because I enjoyed begins

I like how Batman paints his eyelids black before putting his mask on. That's got to add at least forty-five seconds to his response time. Fireman, that actually would be pretty funny if the movie was just garbage and disappointed millions after all of this... well at least it would teach me to stop reading weekly hype for movies that don't release for another two thirds of a year.

I think Ledger looks diabolical, even given the less than intimidating poses they had Im make. But what is with the new Batsuit, it looks like a robot or something. The only good thing about it is the fact that he can turn his head now, but other than that, too much going on. Maybe it'll look better in the film.

Not a huge fan of the new batsuit. At least it does not include nipples and a cod piece like Schumacher's abomination. Joker's looking good. The lighting is very unbecoming. Both of these characters should be shrouded in darkness, not basking in bright studio light.

I agree that Batman does look more like an action figure toy than the look that most of us loved from the first movie. This is the same thing that happened with the first series, as far as the bat-suit goes. They start with something that looks great even though it's simple, but then they keep "improving" it until he's practically walking around in full plate-mail armor. My personal preference would be that he looked closer to a ninja and farther away from Robocop.

Still looking forward to the movie, we still have a long time to wait.

I've enjoyed all the hype behind this film, and each new still that's revealed only adds to my appetite. However, today was the first time I was disappointed with what I saw. I loved the Joker shots, and I truly believe Ledger will deliver as the Clown Prince. Unfortunately, as many above have already stated, the new Batsuit looks horrible and smells of Joel Schumacher's versions of Batman. I don't think Nolan will disappoint, but I don't see why the suit from BB had to change.

The Joker looks awesome. As for the Batsuit...the suit is supposed to change from movie to movie, comic to comic. Batman is constantly improving his tech according to his current needs. This one looks very military, akin to stuff you see commandos wear. Which is a-okay by me, it looks like Bale will be able to do a bit more fighting in that suit. i just kind of wish the bat symbol on his chest was a bit louder.

I guess they did change the bat suit. I didn't notice at first, and by the time they throw some dark moody lighting on it you may not either.

They did not however change my one real complaint on the batsuit from the current movies. I hate his pie-hole sock puppet mouth. I thought the straight clean cut on the Micheal Keaton (Burton) batsuit looked much, much better. I liked the straighter eays better too- but the mouth is the big complaint.

Heath Ledger- all I can say is I doubt if the scarecrow would have looked good under those lights either.

But seriously folks... that suit is troubling my fan boy senses(or is that recent

viewing of transformers damn you michael bay!) and honestly i have to wonder what

were they thinking?! The symbol goes the Superman Returns route with the symbol

shrinking to insignificance(thankfully it is not as important to bats as it was to

supes). Then all the grey patches, jeez can't we keep the armor all black, please? i

mean if we are going more illuminary colors for the batsuit can't we go dark blue?!

i mean he has had plenty of blue, light and dark, in his costume plenty of times, i

don't like how they, and most,favor the grey over the blue. i just think its ugly and

oh yeah He is getting that cyborg look!! Jeez, why can't he just have the costume he

has in the comics, where all his high tech armor is hidden but still known? This is

probably the first dissapointment for nolan since the disaster known as katie holmes

was hired. still, if the movie rocks i won't remember this snafu unlike how i did

remember it after seeing superman returns.

believe we probably won't see him this movie until the end where we just witness the

first sign harvey gone over to the dark side. still anything will look better than

tonmmy lee's version. love jone's work but that was an all time disaster for tom. lucky

for him carrey and ARH-nold costumes completely reviled peope's memories so badly that

we forget him sometimes. and after the third movie, we will completely!
