Proved the point completely! anyone who's going to say a movie like Indy 4 as the Worst movie is looking for attention. The only reason you say Dark Knight as worst, is because you want people to flip out on you, but your little plan has failed you

I feel compelled to throw in my two cents in defense of Indy 4. It had its faults [primarily the monkey/vine scene] but all-in-all it was true to the franchise. Mankiewicz and many other of the movie's detractors seem to have overlooked the fact that it was a meant to be a tribute to the sci-fi movies of the 1950s, just like the first three were a tribute to the serials of the 1930s and 40s. The same people who've said that they couldn't buy the alien plot-line apparently had no problem with the Ark of the Covenant zapping Nazis, magic rocks or the Holy Grail keeping a knight alive in a cave for hundreds of years. Indy 4 wasn't great, it had a few minor flaws, but it was a damn good popcorn movie, which is exactly what it was intended to be.

Vincent R, I'm not sure if it's because of your opinion [the worst movie was the dark knight] or your poor grammar [even "know" it wasnt as bad as batman begins], but either way, your credibility is ZERO. To say that a movie which has made nearly one billion dollars and was so well reviewed by critics and the general public is the worst movie of the year is ridiculous. Maybe the plot-line was too intricate for you to follow, or maybe you're just baiting people like me to respond. What ever the reason, if you really didn't like it fine, but don't make yourself look foolish by calling The Dark Knight the worst movie of the year.

You lose credibility from (1) your inability to form a sentence, and (2) the fact that you enjoyed Indiana Jones.

I really wouldn't call this a best/worst movie of the year list. It's just random critics' most/least favorite films of the year. There's no real regard to actual box office success, overall ratings and quality of the film. A fan based poll of most/least favorite averaged in with the aforementioned factors along with average critic ratings would be a more precise list that most would agree with.

I thought Indiana Jones was great, and after watching it again the other day, I do not understand why people hated it so much. Sure, I can see how people were disappointed; I remember watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in theaters with my dad when I was only 4 years old. And that movie has stuck around with me as my favorite movie of all time. How can you honestly top a movie that inspired people when they were kids? I bet if you talked to kids that watched their first Indiana Jones in theaters with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, many of them will hold to how great it was throughout their lives.

Sure it had it's faults, I'm not pretending it didn't, but so did Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had everything I want in an Indy movie. Good comedy, excitement, merciless bad guys, and overall fun.

Vinny, I'm somewhat hesitant to engage in a debate with someone so woefully ill equipped as are you, but I'd like to make two points: First, their is a pronoun used to show possesion, as in "their responses." The other word that sounds the same [there] is an adverb, generally used to indicate a location or a point, like "stop right there before you make an *** of yourself." Try to use the right word for the right occasion. The second point is that I agree completely with one of your statements. The one in which you say "Its my opinion what sucks." Although again, your grammar needs work, I'm with you in that your opinion sucks. Bad acting, come-on man? Who is showing that they "know nothing" about movies?

Buck, I think you will find that the word 'their' as in 'their response' is, in fact, a possessive adjective, and NOT a pronoun. It becomes a pronoun when it is used instead of a noun, as in the case of 'the response was theirs'.

a tomatometer does not a great movie make

even though fincher's film may not have gotten as good reviews as, say, slumdog millionaire or the dark knight does not make it any less of a film. regardless of what people may say, the fact is that the curious case of benjamin button is an ambitious, masterfully made film
