Critic Review - Hollywood & Fine

At times, the action is so massive and thunderously clunky that I might as well have been watching one of the Transformers movies.

He...he...didn't like the movie I liked the previews of? HOW DARE HE!!!!111!! He must be a troll, because critics are supposed to be a monolithic body and only agree with each other!

He can dislike the movie all he wants, but the points he's using to prop up his critique seem faulty.
There's nothing fanboyish about feeling the form of an argument is weak.

For example, do I need to have seen TDKR already to infer that it's not a "kiddie movie"? No.
The only way this would be possible is if Nolan's plot and aesthetic throughout the entire saga had dramatically changed for the the finale.

There's definitely fans overreacting to his opinions which he obviously free to express, but people are also free to challenge the construction of his arguments whenever they feel like as (as in even before they've seen the film).

I can't take this guy seriously after seeing he did things like this : He gave a fresh rating to these movies- Something Borrowed(15% overall score right now), Mansome(25%), The Lucky One(21%), Loosies(21%), and he gave In Time a fresh rating(seriously?!)...and if you don't care for any of that then I just leave you with this... he compared a Nolan film to a Bay film...enough said.

So this guy doesn't like TDKR, TDK, Mission Impossible or The Girl Wtith The Dragon Tattoo. But he likes In Time and Straw Dogs. Hey Marshall Fine...go kill yourself. Make this world a better place.

LOL. You're right. How DARE he have an opposing opinion of a movie that you yourself never saw? The gull of that man...

Rule of thumb...even a movie that most people like is usually liked by about 20% of the people who watch it. A typical movie critic reviews hundreds of such movies.

Surprise surprise, he likes some of them.

Oh wait. I forgot. Every teenager with access to the internet that comments on Rotten Tomatoes is an established film critic.

I can understand a negative review because hey, everyone has opinions... but comparing this movie to Transformers? That's just asinine.

This critic is out there. He called the boat scene in The Dark Knight a 'time-waster' and criticizes the new film for not having enough tense moments. That boat scene was a tense moment and one of the best parts of the predecessor.

Seeing as how his opinion of other films, TDK included, doesn't come close to my opinion of those films, I'll take this review with a grain of salt.

People outraged about the Transformer comparisons: since you've somehow all seen both films (even though one isn't out yet), I look forward to hearing about why this comparison is so outrageous.

And actually, I completely agree with him that Begins was way better than TDK. The latter had way too much going on to be coherent.
