Critic Review - Hollywood & Fine

At times, the action is so massive and thunderously clunky that I might as well have been watching one of the Transformers movies.

Good review, I agree that TDK was one of Nolan's weaker films. If this follows the same lines then it will be equally disappointing.

Don't think he was being serious, you aren't gonna be a fan of a director based on which city you live in.

Oh, I believe he was serious. There was a whole group of fanboys insistent when TDK came out that there was a massive conspiracy, in which NY film critics gave it a rotten review to negatively impact the tomatometer simply because it wasn't filmed in their city.

Why would New Yorkers not like Nolan's Batman series of epicness?

TDK was excellent. Not quite Inception, but great anyway. Nolan's movies in order of favorite to least favorite:

1. Inception (A+)
2. Memento (A+)
3. The Dark Knight (A)
4. Batman Begins (A)
5. The Prestige (A)
6. Insomnia (A-)

I can't believe RT will let him post this irrelevant review. His opinions are unacceptable and unbelievable!!

Sorry, but how is a review of The Dark Knight Rises irrelevant to The Dark Knight Rises?

Someone doesn't agree with you, so we have to take away their review? That makes sense.

I'm all for people having their own opinions but when there saying things like "I?d say that anyone forecasting serious Oscar love for this lumpish, tedious film has been smoking too much of that potent, prescription California weed." thats just blatant trolling!!

From his "website"...

I call this site "Movies for Smart People" because I have no interest in dumbing it down. I think of what I do as old-school journalism for a post-literate world. Those of us who still value the written word have to soldier on.

So he didn't like it. Why is that the end of the world to a fanboy? Why do they have to have 100% RT ratings? Is it because they don't trust their own judgment? Is it because they think a negative review or twenty or thirty is going to hurt the box office and they'll never make another Batman movie again? If you like Batman so much, why not do what he'd do: defend someone's right to free expression.

It's not that he didn't like it as much as that he compared it to Transformers. There's nothing wrong with liking and disliking different movies (that's the point of Rotten Tomatoes!) but there is something wrong with comparing brilliance to garbage.

Opinions are fine to have...

But at least learn how to properly write a film review. His foolish attempt at understanding TDK aside, this review is officially nullified by just plain bad writing.
