ohhhh you won't notice the running time . . . maybe if you're watching it on your ipod or iphone you will but in the movie theater the minutes will fly by and you'll end-up wishing to youself that the film would never end.

Seriously? Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers -2hrs 45 minutes each, Return of the King - 3hrs, The Godfather Parts 1 and 2 - 3hrs each, the Good the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West - 3hrs each, Lawrence of Arabia - 3hrs 30 minutes. Need I say more? Running times should not scare anyone from seeing a good film. Geez, talk about pre-judgement, if we all know Nolan, he wont waste a single shot.

I appreciate the examples. I think I'm just concerned that it's following the same pattern as the previous films. "There's a Storm coming!" for example in the trailer. That's pretty much the exact premise of the other two films. Ras Al Ghul wants to destroy Gotham because it's not worth saving. The Joker wants to Destroy Gotham and will prove it's not worth Saving. Harvey Dent turns on Gotham because it's not worth saving. Bane want's to destroy Gotham. I don't think that kind of story takes over 2 hours to tell. In fact the only real complaints I had about the other films was how they were a bit too long.
Maybe I'm just the 1% on this.

Yeah, Brad, when TDKR comes out, you should stay home. It'll be just another boring Nolan movie, repetitive and overly long...

Huge District 9 Fan Jomo999. I've always been perplexed at how easily it is for Fans to ignore some problems these Batman films. I would love to have an in depth conversation Thread etc to discuss these problems or perceptions etc if anybody would like to start one on a profile or a blog or something or would be interested in proving my perceptions wrong about these films...etc
