There's a kind of macho element to the movie that contradicts Harrison's interest in humane treatment with filming the suffering of animals and hoisting a couple of them for the camera.

Yeah sure, blame the people that filmed this movie and ignore the purpose. Don't worry about stopping the pain these animals have to endure just so a human can be pleased. None of this was staged. It's all true. Get off your chair, stop being an arm chair quarterback and do something to help force Congress to stop this.
