All right, I admit it.

I was trying to be "cool" but yes, I loved this movie. My wife took me to see it on my birthday and I was abosolutly giddy coming out. The Evil Dead is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I was pleased that they managed to take the essence of the original and mix it into a new story. Even all the cheesy lines had me remebering Ash's struggles in the cabin, while at the same time pushing the original out of my mind in general. And prop's to Jane Levy and Lou Taylor Pucci for outstanding performances. Sorry if I upset anyone or offended them. God bless

Jim, you had me irate me at you. Whatever you were trying to do, you succeeded. David called it. He knew you were really a cool guy. I apologize for my comments, good sir.

Cheers to Gentleman Jim!

Lou Taylor Pucci's character might be the toughest MoFo in horror movie history. Jane Levy is now on a short list of actresses I will catch any movie she is in. She is tremendously talented.

It is such a well crafted movie, but the marketing kept making it out to be the scariest movie ever etc. and it just isn't that.

Dude, that motherfucker took a stabbing in the chest, stab wounds in the face, Nails shot throughout his body, bludgeoning, and finally being stabbed by a box cutter(that's what finally got him).

Has there ever been a horror movie that hasn't advertised it's self as the scariest movie ever? though i agree the red band trailer did show a bit to much of some of the best parts.

Yeah...I regret watching the red band trailer beforehand. They showed way too much. So for me, the shock value was lessened when I saw it.

But as you know, I still loved it.

I was shocked that everything in the red band trailer was shown in the R rated version. What the hell did they cut?

I hope that uncut version which will be released on DVD has some extra gore up it's sleeve but yeah, the trailer showed too much. At least it didn't show my favourite scene which was the chainsaw to the head. That scene had me laughing my ass off with joy :D

God bless YOU, Jim Starling. You're OK in my book.

Nice job with that 42 thread, though. I have to applaud that. And once the fanboys start pouring in, that Iron Man 3 thread is gonna roll heads.
