Tomato-meter ?

is going to be surprisingly high. I think if there's a good balance between comedy and the suspenseful crime life (of course the laughs will pour in), this could do very well. 85% or more. Thought?

This movie made Stallone's "Bullet to the Head" look deep and insightful. Is DeNiro even reading these things before they yell action? Even the poster makes him look like is walking to his car uninterested.

You have to realize that almost all critics are in Toronto right now. So if the film isn't in Toronto being screened more than likely critics aren't seeing it.

The Family struggles from a weak script, but Robert de Niro and Tommy Lee Jones make The Family an enjoyable film.

Executive producer really doesn't mean much. If anything, they just oversee the movie's financing. That's about it.

Sep 12 - 06:29 AM

Plainview

Daniel Plainview

Which, unfortunately, means he wanted this film off the ground. Or he wanted to show support for De Niro because he stopped working with him and didn't really care if the film was destined to be good or not.
