"The Way Back " is the best movie.

Hell Comes to Frogtown - last man on earth who is not firing blanks and has to save 3 princesses to repopulate. Humanities survival - is there a greater survival story??!?! HELL NO!
Jan 25 - 08:19 AM
I Survived FROGTOWN!!! Gritty VHS desolation. Nothing but Sandahl Bergman for nourishment.

"Buried" was horrible. That's why it mostly bypassed theaters and went straight to DVD. Oh and Reynolds ruined the GL movie.

Frozen and The Road!!!!!

The title of this list says the "ten" best survival films and I just found a few that have higher ratings than some of the ones listed- that's all!
Jan 25 - 11:21 AM
The lowest rated one is 72 % of Open Water!
Jan 25 - 11:22 AM
I would argue Deliverance should be on this list.
Jan 25 - 11:45 AM
Buried is a piece of crap.
Jan 25 - 12:46 PM
wouldn't a survival movie mean actually surviving? the characters in open water didn't make it- so its more of a not survival movie.
Jan 25 - 01:11 PM
Anyone ever seen the movie Alive? Well at least its on my list.

Are you kidding me...no "The Edge"!?! Are you Mad?
Jan 25 - 02:54 PM
The Hunted has some of the best survival tactics even if it's not one of the best movies
Jan 25 - 03:05 PM
A rather good point, but they surivive much of the film anyway, which is better than none at all!
Jan 25 - 03:15 PM
wow it was a joke back off assholes
Jan 25 - 03:24 PM
Also include SPOILER "Open Water" to that point as well!
Jan 25 - 03:25 PM
Doesn't the designation "survival movie" imply that the subject of the film actually survived? I could see Into the Wild being included in the top ten "Not Knowing How to Survive" list, heck, I'd even put it in the top 5 of the "Died of starvation and exposure because they were lost" genre, but it is not a "Survival Movie" per se. Also, the author needs to stop thinking that the current decade is when all the best films were made.

I loved Nicolas Roeg Walkabout, which is at 93%, The Empire Of The Sun is a very good one too, and The Lord Of The Flies, which I heard Danny Boyle dreams about remaking
Jan 25 - 05:51 PM
I was surprised the Peter Brook version of "Lord of the Flies" missed this list. It's 100% tomato rating.
