I know what the fucking MPAA Ratings are used for. I was just refering to the fact that it was an interesting rating that I hadn't seen before. I also know what crude means. I shouldn't have put a question mark because it made everyone assume that I was some dumbshit that doesn't know what a film ratings are used for. They usually just say, "Crude and Sexual references" or "Crude and Sexual COntent" not just "Crude content". I was confused because when they put "Sexual Content" that means that their will be a sex scene or two, "Sexual References" obviously means that they say things pertaining to sex. So I was curious as to why they put "Strong crude content" instead of "Strong crude references".

Wow really? Yeah you have one thing right, you shouldn't have just put "Strong Crude Content" with a question mark. SO sorry that we all bugged you by trying to reply. Next time we will remember to put on our "Mind Reading Glasses"

It's a warning. Yes, The Heat contains crude content including sexual and drug references. Many of them are profane and vulgar. This film is raunchy, so that's why it received an R-rating.

It's a warning. Let's say someone has been raped in their past. There is a reference in the movie that refers to a womens genitals and an oyster, and how he is going to cut it out like on oyster with a sharp object. That might not seem offensive to you, but it could be extremely uncomfortable to someone else. The rating isn't there to say see it or not, it's to say, be warned.

What about "strong crude content" dont you understand?
Do you not have a solid grip on the english language?
Jun 27 - 03:43 PM
It means there's gonna be tons of crude humor, mostly a lot of vulgar sexual and drug references, all of which are profane.

Yeah... they normally don't generalize like that. They usually have a HUGE laundry list of what inappropriate content is in the film, not just a generalized phrase like that. Eh, then again, the list could be so huge, rattling the whole thing off would require a poster of its own.
