Video Interviews with The Host Cast: Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, and Jake Abel

To the unschooled, The Host is just a movie about aliens taking over the planet and leaving teenage girls confused about which boys to make out with. But to stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, and Jake Abel, the film took on a much bigger meaning about the human spirit and greatness of our species. Making it taught them many lessons, though sadly one of them was not how to pronounce "Saoirse" properly.

The fact that this film has an 11% kinda surprised me, as there are many Oscar-nominees/winners in the cast: William Hurt (Best Leading Actor, "Kiss of The Spider Woman (1985)" -- also the first independently-produced film to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar), Saoirse Ronan (Best Supporting Actress for "Atonement (2007)" -- 7th youngest nominee in the category), and Andrew Niccol (Best Original Screenplay, "The Truman Show (1998)").

Andrew Niccol has written great stuff in the past. But I agree it did come from poor source material.

To be fair most will blame the novel, but having read this novel to see what the Hype at the time was about(This was three years ago) I have to say that Andrew Niccol actually messed this up. Didn't expect that
