Zac Efron- Favorite Dramatic Actor? That just shows some people shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Jan 9 - 10:09 PM

Brice W.

Brice Watts

Hahaha thought the same thing.

Jan 10 - 06:19 AM

Dave J

Dave J

Underage preteen girls like Zac- it's not so hard to understand how he won!

Jan 10 - 01:41 PM

James F.

James Frederikson

Hmm. I just saw "The Paperboy", and I thought that Efron played his role really nice. Yeah, there were actors, which deserved this award more, but he's not the worst choice - just imagine Robert Pattison on his place.

Taiful Islam

I totally agree with you..

Jan 10 - 09:20 PM

Diego F.

Diego Fernandez

We survived to 12/21/12 for this. WTF!!?

I thought exactly the same thing. It made me chuckle. Although, I like these lists a lot better than the stuffy Academy lists. The Academy wants all of us to be stuffy and pretentious snobs, but it won't work. Avengers, Hunger Games, The Hobbit, Spiderman, Batman...these are all of my favorite movies this year. Say what you want, but these movies are why movies are made. About two hours escape from reality!

Jan 11 - 08:23 AM

simon m.

simon modica

Oh please, maybe that is why you see movies, but not everyone watches movies for escape every time they go. Just because someone like an artier film, does not make them stuffy or snobbish. You seem to only like super hero movies, but I think that you should allow others to like what they want to like. You are as stuffy and snobby as the people you obviously dislike.

Jan 14 - 12:24 PM

Paul Soldner

Paul Soldner

Actually, that's EXACTLY what make them stuffy & snobbish. All those so-called "artsy" films are just people trying to snag an award. The films have no lasting worth (and very little temporal worth).

Zac Effron has been like the peoples choice award Guy for years, they have to give him something. Didn't see the lucky one.

Zac Effron wins the the best dramatic actor and Justin Bieber wins the Music Academy Awards, The World has undoubtedly had to end!

Jan 13 - 01:39 PM

Joe Albanese

Joe Albanese

This is embarrassing. The only winner I agree with is Jennifer Lawrence, and not for The Hunger Games, for all her other movies.

Jan 9 - 10:30 PM

David Moparty

David Moparty

lol i thought the same way. I agree with Jennifer Lawrence as favorite movie actress just for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. But this is truly a pitiful list.

Jan 11 - 04:25 PM

Nathan Lloyd

Nathan Lloyd

I agree, but most people have only watched these movies because they were popular. I enjoyed Silver Linings Playbook.

Jan 11 - 05:30 PM

Should be renamed "Stupid People's Choice Awards". Favorite comedic actor: Adam Sandler. Granted the options were kinda thin. This whole thing is terrible anyway, what a crock of shit awards show this is.

Jan 9 - 10:33 PM

Mohd Syafiq Bin Jabaruddin

Mohd Syafiq Bin Jabaruddin

They clearly haven't watched 21 Jump Street if they didn't vote for Tatum.

"Stupid Pubescent's Choice Awards" is a better name.

Jeffrey Ballesteros

Jeffrey Ballesteros

Oh my god! None of the three superhero movies of 2012 won in the 2013 People's choice awards?!! You have got to be kidding me?!! The Hunger Games won?!!! I SHOULD watch that movie to know why!!!

Jan 9 - 10:51 PM

Dylan Jr.

Dylan Jr.

You watched "Battle Royale"? Same things, only with special effects and american actors

Jan 12 - 12:12 PM

Lore Krajsman

Lore Krajsman

And better actors, better story, better writing, and actual meaning rather than a gorefest

Jan 13 - 11:26 AM

Dustin Runyan

Dustin Runyan

Thank you, Lore. That ridiculously empty "Battle Royale" comparison/internet meme was run into the ground last summer, for good I had hoped. I guess it was cool to bring it up when nobody had heard of "Battle Royale". Now that everyone has seen BR for themselves, mentioning it is just dorky. Both decent movies, for different reasons, but nothing similar beyond the thinnest surface of certain parts of their premises. (Star Wars = Star Trek, by the same logic.)

I knew the people where stupid, but Zac Efron best dramatic actor. I am ashamed to be a human being.

Yeah, not bad. And the Efron bashing is a joke too - he's actually quiet good.

Jan 12 - 08:55 AM

Tom Carter

TED for Best Comedic Film? You have GOT to be joking me. I officially have lost all faith in the general public. There is NO WAY in HECK a bunch of bathroom jokes and a warped idea of suspension of disbelief can honestly be considered funny, let alone the best comedy of the year...

Jan 9 - 11:11 PM

Dick Travis

Mick Travis

I actually found 21 JUMP STREET funnier, but my vote for 2012's best comedy is without a doubt GOON with Seann William Scott. That was AWESOME!

Jan 9 - 11:44 PM

Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson

Great call there Mick

Jan 10 - 01:44 AM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

Goon was funny in a Slap Shot kinda way, unfortunately if you're not Canadian or a Hockey fan you missed a lot of the jokes. Didn't have enough widespread appeal to be a contender.

Keith Turner

Keith Turner

I thought it was kinda funny :)

James Frederikson

"Ted" deserved it's win, i think.

Jan 10 - 03:42 PM

Dylan P.

Ted was the funniest comedy of the year no doubt. Seth Mcfarlane actually has taste in comedy and doesn't just throw out a bunch of silly high school crap jokes like 21 Jump Street.

Jan 11 - 07:21 AM

Dick Travis

Mick Travis

Whatever!

Jan 11 - 07:57 PM

Fred Brooks

Fred Brooks

I don't think a lot of dudes vote on this show, as a matter of fact i know they don't. That would definantly explain "The Hunger Games" winning way too many awards, it is what is.

Jan 9 - 11:13 PM

Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson

Dudes don't care about these shows. I'm surprised Twilight didn't win.

Jan 10 - 01:37 PM

King S.

King Simba

Plus, don't forget that with there being 3 superhero films nominated the votes from guys gets split 3 ways. I mean Avengers was a bigger success than Hunger Games, had better holds and was a bigger seller on DVD and Blu-Ray. Had it not shared a similair target audience with TDKR and Amazing Spiderman it probably would have won.

Jan 10 - 02:12 AM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

Hunger Games also had the most widespread appeal of any of those films. The Superhero ones obviously had bigger audiences, but a large portion of their audience is divided like Simba said over which was the best and generally geekdom doesn't turn out en masse to make their voices heard on things like this. We prefer to pick apart the people who do for their poor taste after the fact. Everybodies happier that way.

Jan 10 - 04:29 PM

Jamie Evans

Jamie Evans

Fred, all the proof you need about your opinion is found in the statement, Zac Efron is favorite dramatic movie actor.

Jan 11 - 08:27 AM

Sam Hennigh

Sam Hennigh

Agreed, I'm really mad that best action went to The Hunger Games.

Jan 13 - 12:43 AM

The.Watcher

13 year olds should not be allowed to vote on anything. This list is embarrassing.

Jan 9 - 11:21 PM

Dave J

Dave J

That's exactly what it is, isn't it! Kids are people too and if enough parents supplied them with phones perhaps their favorite super hero film would've won some of those categories as well!

Jan 10 - 01:35 PM

Jaq Quinlan

Jaq Quinlan

Yeah, this is just awful.

I bet the same audience who voted for these ludicrous choices are the same people who think Honey Boo Boo is the greatest TV star ever. Have those drones been unleashed yet?

Jan 9 - 11:46 PM

Dave J

Dave J

Actually, teens and underage children have more time to vote than any of the adults meaning even if they could they still won't because a football is more exciting than voting to see your favorite actors/ actresses to come up on stage!

There shouldâ??t be held awards that honor bad films (or the wrong films) like this.

Jan 10 - 12:33 AM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

That's the entire point of the Peoples Choice Awards, to honor films people actually liked, regardless of why. Don't see why people are so offended by this. They're not saying these are the artistically best movie's of the year, they're saying these are the most popular movie's with the widest general appeal. True you could say these movie's were already honored with the money they received and the copious amounts of hot ass the director's and stars probably pull on a daily basis (Paul Anderson and Milla Jovovich anymore? Still boggles my mind), but that's another debate.
