Hmm. I just saw "The Paperboy", and I thought that Efron played his role really nice. Yeah, there were actors, which deserved this award more, but he's not the worst choice - just imagine Robert Pattison on his place.

I thought exactly the same thing. It made me chuckle. Although, I like these lists a lot better than the stuffy Academy lists. The Academy wants all of us to be stuffy and pretentious snobs, but it won't work. Avengers, Hunger Games, The Hobbit, Spiderman, Batman...these are all of my favorite movies this year. Say what you want, but these movies are why movies are made. About two hours escape from reality!

Plus, don't forget that with there being 3 superhero films nominated the votes from guys gets split 3 ways. I mean Avengers was a bigger success than Hunger Games, had better holds and was a bigger seller on DVD and Blu-Ray. Had it not shared a similair target audience with TDKR and Amazing Spiderman it probably would have won.

Hunger Games also had the most widespread appeal of any of those films. The Superhero ones obviously had bigger audiences, but a large portion of their audience is divided like Simba said over which was the best and generally geekdom doesn't turn out en masse to make their voices heard on things like this. We prefer to pick apart the people who do for their poor taste after the fact. Everybodies happier that way.

That's exactly what it is, isn't it! Kids are people too and if enough parents supplied them with phones perhaps their favorite super hero film would've won some of those categories as well!

Actually, teens and underage children have more time to vote than any of the adults meaning even if they could they still won't because a football is more exciting than voting to see your favorite actors/ actresses to come up on stage!

That's the entire point of the Peoples Choice Awards, to honor films people actually liked, regardless of why. Don't see why people are so offended by this. They're not saying these are the artistically best movie's of the year, they're saying these are the most popular movie's with the widest general appeal. True you could say these movie's were already honored with the money they received and the copious amounts of hot ass the director's and stars probably pull on a daily basis (Paul Anderson and Milla Jovovich anymore? Still boggles my mind), but that's another debate.

Well, apparently they do. This is not a good list. Though, I think the only people writing in this post comment are 18-year-ild guys that love superhero movies. the director of the Avengers said himself that the Avengers wasn't a particularly good movie. It was just fun. Out of the nominees, Hunger Games deserved the awards (but I was surprised TDKR or TA didn't win, seeing as it's a People's Choice Awards). But can someone explain the nominees? I don't recall Efron being in any famous movies this year (other than the Lorax). How it ended up winningâ?¦ I bet it was nominated for the films it was in this year, and was voted by the public for his previous filmsâ?¦ In fact, I bet the same thing happened with Jennifer Aniston.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? How did Hemsworth win best Action Movie Star, when Robert Downey, Jr won Favourite Actor BECAUSE HE WAS IN AN ACTION MOVIE? And Argo for best drama? Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic, but I feel bad for it to even get into a list as bad as this. And why is Hathaway nominated for Les Miserables, but the movie itself was nominated no awards? I'm sorry, this is just lame.
