It's really well done. It's a lot of fun.
As always, you are bang on about this movie! It was VERY well done and was probably the most fun I've had at the movies all year.Edward Norton was fantastic!Awesome review, Richard! You are my favorite critic out there right now!

I agree, Marvel put a lot of effort into the reboot and it shows!

Oh, I'm so sorry, antonego. I didn't realize you are those kind of people who life action movies with NO action and NO fun! Just tons of story and plot, but NO, NO action!I think you need to realize or "wake up and see the Hulk" that the Incredible Hulk was made to be entertaining, fun, and have well done action sequences. In the words of the movie itself, "Hulk smash! Hulk smash!" That's it. Nothing more.Oh, wait! I forgot it also had a stunning and brilliant (whether you want to believe it or not, antonego!) performance by Edward Norton! My mistake! LOL

RickRoper, no one can accuse you of good taste.
That is, no one with any sense:
"It sidesteps the intriguing aspects of Hulkdom and spends way too much time in, dare I say, noisy and mindless action sequences."
I'd have to agree with your better half.
The CGI Incredible Hulk is an incredible Joke. Thank God one of you AKA "The Man" (Ebert) still makes sense.
Hey, live and let live.
Jun 17 - 05:09 PM
I don't know who this "RickRoper" guy is, but Richard Roeper is absolutely correct about the Hulk film. It's what a popcon movie should be. FUN.

Lol Ebert makes sense?? He said this movie had too much "mindless action". What do you effing expect from an incredible hulk movie? This movie delivered exactly what it promised, it kept true to the comic book theme and made it entertaining.
Roeper was spot on here, it was a lot of fun. Unless you don't like brutal action flicks. If so, this is not the movie for you.

Then again, its art, and all art is relative.
Green CGI Vomit.
I guess some people like it.
Jun 17 - 05:16 PM
I know you're going to comment on my grammar, too, antonego, (just like you did to mreed) so I'm sorry for putting "life" instead of "like".
Jun 18 - 03:06 PM
You know the kind of movie that you would like antonego, is "Pride and Prejudice".Most boring movie EVER created by Hollywood, but has tons of plot and story!Go see that, antonego, and leave the fun and exciting and action-paced movies to the rest of us!I'm sure you will be quite pleased!
I laugh. I laugh a hearty, scoffing laugh at all these lofty critics who want "The Hulk" to be Titannic. Marvel's movie adaptations of their comics are framed by a lot background parameters. For instance, haven't you ever noticed there are multiple "X-men #1's", "Spiderman #1's", it's because they have free reign to re-iterate their hero tales. And for people that bash CG; What do you want? Would you prefer garish prosthetics and makeup to create a mediocre facsimile? oh please.
Jun 19 - 04:43 PM
The first time that I've read a positive comment by you, Richard. Keep it up.
