on Mar 14 2008 05:43 AM Anyone see the video of Obama's preacher? Man, that dude's a Racist. And, Obama's economic plan just released? 1 trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000) tax increase to Americans over the next 10 years. Anybody that votes for this man needs their heada examined. on Mar 14 2008 06:08 AM In reply to this comment (#1631748) Thank you darth. Those are the kind of facts that people like to ignore all in the name of "change". In the midst of a looming regression everyone seems to want to put people in office who will take even more money away from us all. But he gives great speeches! (Reply to this) |

on Mar 14 2008 09:36 AM In reply to this comment (#1631776) UG Then How the heck do you expect to pay for universal health Amo !!! We'll whine about health care and every thing else but when it comes down to it we are greedy greedy people who wont give a dollar more to help someone EVEN when it helps us too. (Reply to this) |
on Mar 14 2008 10:22 AM It's not just health care. It's also creating millions of new jobs and working towards a stronger and hopefully more green economy. Granted this is a huge amount of taxes, but where it comes from and where it goes is what's important. At least Obama is releasing his plans. That's one thing that I really like about him is how he's working towards transparency in the government, which is the first step in cutting fat and exposing corruption (or at least making it harder to hide). This could really hurt him though as it will give fodder to the Clintons and McCain camps. I suppose some people are happy just racking up two to three times that amount in debt just on the war in Iraq, which is one of the big reasons why the dollar is going to be so weak (the debt) and why we're heading for a recession. Maybe we should just stay status quo with the present regime and keep losing not only jobs to other countries, but our wages, and what our money is worth. That's a much better plan. (Reply to this) |

on Mar 14 2008 07:13 PM If we vote for him we need our head examined????? Thats a childish and brainless reply.....thanks. I am all for the increase. Our national debt is out of control. We have so many things we need. Where is it going to come from?? Clintons plan probably won't be much different. But McCain will cut taxes. Yay. The money will trickle down to me from all the rich folk any day now. Any day now. Any day now. I don't know who I am voting for yet. I can't make up my mind. I won't let 1 issue dominate that decision though. Gonna have to weigh them all objectively. I think the documentary will work out well even if he loses. If he loses he is going to be an important politician and figure still. (Reply to this) |

on Mar 14 2008 10:27 PM There is nothing appealing about obama to anyone of the the middle class or above. Any white person who is moderately successful is only voting for obama because of white guilt. (Reply to this) |

on Mar 15 2008 03:15 AM In reply to this comment (#1630659) What accomplishments did Kennedy have before he became President? His dad was a bootlegger and his boat got sunk during WWII. Hardly a glowing resume', but he got a ton of stuff done when he got into office and when you really think about it a President is not doing everything for his country. He's appointing people to accomplish goals in line with what he thinks is best for the country and is the face of America to the rest of the world and being "Only) Charismatic and inspirational would seem to be two pretty good qualities to have to complete that job. Not that I think Obama is only those things and I say this as someone who fully intends to vote for McCain. I think we are fortunate this election that we have a chance for a rare win-win. No matter who gets elected it won't be a disaster for the others who didn't vote for that guy. (Reply to this) |

It's been rough watching McCain do the necessary pandering to the hard right at times during the primaries, but I think he's a great guy and would make a fine president--even though I'll probably vote for Obama. on Mar 17 2008 11:41 AM In reply to this comment (#1636511) Yeah, I'm a Navy guy and a conservative leaning independant so McCain is pretty much my boy, but I'm keeping an open mind until the debates start between the two. (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2008 11:09 AM This could be interesting cinema, whatever the outcome of Senator Obama's presidential campaign. 1992's "The War Room" was a fascinating documentary that really put you behind the scenes of a presidential campaign. Whatever one's opinion of Bill Clinton, it serves as a great time capsule of 1992, as well as just an interesting study in modern political warfare. (Reply to this) |
