Tim Roth Promises Fun Incredible Hulk
Lighter than Lee? Bouncier than Bana?

Marvel Studios has promised The Incredible Hulk will restart the Hulk movie franchise with a more fun take on the material. Costar Tim Roth, who plays Abomination in the film, confirmed the fun.

"We've done some very cool things," said Roth. "I think it's going to be fun. I'm in my own world with this one so there's a lot of it I don't see what's going on. All I know is, as far as I'm concerned, this is some fun stuff going on."

Roth is privy to the transformation effects, but cannot share the details. "I'm still filming it. This is one for my boys. Pure, on set, all I'm asking is, 'Okay, this has got to be a cool shot for my kids, all right? Am I going to look cool in this shot?' It's truly about that for me, completely about that."

Even the Roth kids are skeptical about the new Hulk. "I'm treated with great suspicion. 'So, is it going to be cool, dad?' And you don't know because they're the worst critics of the lot. I could be ridiculed when I walk into school when I drop them off. You never know."

In Louis Leterrier's Incredible Hulk, Roth plays a KGB soldier named Emil Blonsky who turns into the superbeing Abomination, much like Bruce Banner (Ed Norton) becomes the Hulk. Unlike Banner, Abomination can't return to normal and seeks revenge for his condition. On the run from General "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) and separated from his ladylove, Betty (Liv Tyler), Banner will have to face his nemesis in what's sure to be an epic showdown.

Incredible Hulk smash into theater June 13, 2008.

I'm going to upset a lot of fanboys but this could be better than TDK. I'm predicting Transformers B.O. for this movie just based on the cast

Great, so this movie is going to be cheesy then? what's wrong with a dark take on the material? This movie is going to suck so hard...

Finally, a movie that won't waste time on stupid things like plot and character development and will instead just be non-stop action with stuff being blown up! Yay!

As long as Norton turns into smoochy at one point and sings "My stepdad's not mean, he's just adjusting I'm happy. I am looking foward to this though.

I have high hopes, but then again I liked the first one (the one with Bana), and it doesn't seem like many other people did.

You didn't upset me, quite the opposite you made me laugh out loud. That was pretty funny if sarcasm is what you went for.

i dont think the plot will be as dumb as transformers (i know, i know, many of your saying to yourselves, "transformers had a plot?") but it should be an entertaining way to pass a few hours...

TDK will be the godfather of superhero movies. but hulk will definately be "fun" to watch...

Better than The Dark Knight? Hahaha!!

I am kinda looking forward to this, though. It has Ed Norton, Tim Roth, and William Hurt. I love all 3 of them.

The bottom line is the CG. Will it be good, because as far as I am concerned the CG is the primary thing that went wrong with the first film. I mean just because you can make I guy who is big and green look fairly realistic, does'nt mean you should have him throwing tanks and big hulk dogs around. The key to making this filn better is not that they shouldn't have some fun with it, or that it shouldn't have a sense of humor, but the key should be whether or not the big green guy looks and acts believable, and not like something computer generated. In otherwards WETA should do it.

Every time they mention this movie in an article, they stress that it's going to be more fun and action-oriented. I can't help but feel that I read this article more than once. Same thing with the Superman Returns sequel...
